First Look: LEGO City 60470 Explorers’ Arctic Polar Express Train

The LEGO City theme is heading back into icy territory this summer with a brand-new train set: LEGO City 60470 Explorers’ Arctic Polar Express Train. Scheduled for release on June 1, 2025, the set will be available in the LEGO Shop with a retail price of $199.99 USD / €199.99.

A Motorized Arctic Adventure

The 60470 Explorers’ Arctic Polar Express Train set contains 1,517 pieces, making the price per piece around $0.14. This large City train is built for snowy expeditions, with a striking orange-and-dark-blue color scheme and an industrial look that feels right at home in the Arctic.

Up front, the locomotive is equipped with a snow plow to clear the frozen tracks. Two wagons are included: one passenger carriage with large windows for scenic views, and one transport wagon for carrying exploration vehicles and gear.

The train is Powered Up-compatible and can be controlled via the free LEGO Powered Up app or using the included remote control. Batteries are not included.
