LEGO Art fans, buckle up. If the rumors are true, the summer 2025 lineup is diving back into the Fauna Collection, and it’s shaping up to be a colorful showcase for animal lovers.
What we know so far
According to Instagram user lego_minecraft_goat, who’s known for reliable leaks, two new LEGO Art sets are expected later in 2025. One of these, 31217 The Fauna Collection - Tiger, is expected to follow in the footsteps of 31211 Macaw Parrots. That set, which was released earlier in 2024, combined new building techniques and strong colors to create a brilliant display piece. The reported Tiger set is priced at $59.99, the same as the Macaws.
Sound familiar? Maybe. But there’s no official word on whether this Tiger will follow the same design pattern or venture into new territory.
A roaring addition?
If this rumor pans out, the Tiger could bring some serious stripes to LEGO Art. The Macaw Parrots were a hit because they broke the mold for LEGO Art, combining 3D sculpture with classic mosaic elements. Could the Tiger do the same? It’s not just about the build, it’s about how LEGO keeps pushing creative boundaries. If they pull off a dynamic pose or bring in fresh textures, this set could be a showstopper.
Another thing to watch: wall-mounted or free-standing? The Macaws worked both ways, making them versatile for display. Fans will likely hope for the same flexibility here.
What about 31216?
Let’s not forget the second rumored set, 31216. This one’s priced at $119.99 and also slated for summer 2025. No details yet, but at that price point, it’s likely bigger and more complex. Could it be another Fauna Collection entry? Maybe LEGO is venturing out with something really unexpected. In either case, it will bring some variation to the Art theme's burgeoning library.
LEGO Art’s 2025 outlook
Looking at the bigger picture, 2025’s shaping up to be a strong year for LEGO Art. The theme has been a playground for experimenting with new formats, from 3D builds to intricate mosaics. The rumored Tiger set fits right in, especially if it delivers the same creativity we saw with the Macaws.
Rumors remain rumors until LEGO makes them official. Still, it's difficult not to feel thrilled. A tiger-themed set may appeal to both animal lovers and expert builders. And if 31216 is as exciting, LEGO Art enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to.
What do you think? Will LEGO succeed with another Fauna Collection entry? Do you want to see them go in a different direction? Summer 2025 might be the season when LEGO Art surprises us all.
