LEGO Friends summer 2025 rumored sets: A closer look at what’s coming

Disclaimer: This article contains rumors that have not been confirmed by LEGO. Details such as pricing, release dates, etc. may differ from the final product.

LEGO Friends fans, summer 2025 might just bring the ultimate wave of fun sets, if the rumors are true! The leaked list of sets, while unconfirmed, offers plenty to speculate about and fuels anticipation for what’s next. From unicorn pool parties to panda sanctuaries, this wave could bring a mix of creativity and charm that’s perfect for summer play. Let’s break it down.

LEGO 42642 Movie Night with Friends

At $14.99, this small, affordable set could include a cozy outdoor or indoor setup. Movie night themes often bring fun accessories like popcorn, screens, or projectors. This one could be a nice companion to earlier Friends sets featuring sleepovers or chill zones.

LEGO 42648 Panda Care Sanctuary

Priced at $29.99, the idea of a panda sanctuary is intriguing. Will we see new panda molds, or perhaps the same ones introduced in LEGO’s Jungle Rescue line? Either way, animal-themed sets in Friends always bring cute factor to the max.

LEGO 42653 Music Store and Apartment

At $49.99, this is the standout of the list for me. A music store adds a creative angle to play, especially with potential instruments like guitars, keyboards, or even a drum kit. The addition of an apartment could give this set a “Heartlake City” vibe similar to the fan-favorite Main Street set. If executed well, this could be a must-have for Friends fans and collectors alike.

LEGO 42658 Unicorn and Flamingo Pool Party

This $9.99 set leans heavily into bright, whimsical colors and fun accessories. Could we see a molded unicorn like the one from Gabby’s Dollhouse sets? If so, this could become a popular add-on set for younger builders.

LEGO 42659 Car Road Trip with Friends

At $19.99, a road trip set might include a vehicle (likely in the Friends’ signature bright palette) and travel-themed extras like luggage or maps. While it doesn’t immediately grab my attention, these mid-range sets often deliver plenty of value.

LEGO 42661 Unicorn and Fairy Costume Party

Priced at $39.99, costume parties are a playground for cute accessories, and this set sounds like it’ll deliver just that. Whether it’s fairy wings, unicorn horns, or magical decorations, this one could bring a lot of imaginative play.

LEGO 42664 Boat Adventure

At $79.99, Friends has done plenty of boats before, so it’ll be interesting to see how this one stands out. A summer adventure theme could bring water activities or even a tropical island vibe.

LEGO 42671 Café and Flower Shop

This $89.99 set could be another potential hit. Friends consistently delivers great builds with their shops, and this one’s combination of food and florals sounds like a winner. Fans of modular-style builds will likely appreciate this addition.

LEGO 43673 Family Holiday

The largest set in the wave at $129.99 hints at a vacation theme. Could it include a family camper, a vacation home, or even a beachside resort? Sets like this often offer a blend of vehicles, builds, and lots of minidolls for endless storytelling opportunities.

A contrast to LEGO City

One notable aspect of this rumored wave is how much it overlaps with what fans have been craving for LEGO City. Where are the music stores, bakeries, and cafés in City? Meanwhile, Friends is delivering those creative builds while City continues its cycle of police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks. The diversity and creativity in Friends’ set concepts feel like a deliberate effort to target builders looking for something fresh.

My take on the lineup

While it’s too early to judge these sets without official images, the rumored lineup shows plenty of potential. The Music Store and Apartment sounds like an instant classic if done right, while the Café and Flower Shop and Unicorn Pool Party offer strong summer vibes.

That said, Friends sets can be hit or miss depending on how detailed and thoughtful the builds turn out to be. The January wave left some fans underwhelmed, with only a few standout sets like the Apartment Street. Let’s hope the summer lineup avoids that trap.
