This unique set, titled The Princess Bride - From Book to Blockbuster to Brick, has captivated LEGO enthusiasts and movie fans alike, securing over 10,000 supporters.
The concept captures the essence of The Princess Bride in a delightful LEGO format, with a build that represents both a book and a scenic diorama. At its core, this LEGO creation is designed to be flexible, allowing fans to display or play with it in different ways. When you open the book, the landscape shifts with it, transforming the scenes and bringing the story to life right on your shelf.
Bringing the Story to Life
According to the creator, the set is designed to capture several memorable moments from the story while maintaining a compact footprint. Each scene emphasizes the characters and iconic imagery from the film rather than focusing on extensive landscapes. As a result, this model has both display appeal and playability.
The seven minifigures included in the set, Princess Buttercup, Westley, Vizzini, Fezzik, Inigo Montoya, and the grandfather with his grandson, offer plenty of room for fans to recreate their favorite scenes or invent entirely new ones. The third LEGO Ideas Review process kicks off in January 2025 and can take several months to complete. If approved, the set will move into the development phase, where designers will refine the model, create packaging, instructions, and prepare it for a production run.
