Deadpool’s absence from the LEGO universe has been a hot topic for years, but it looks like there’s finally some movement on this long-standing issue. In the latest LEGO Marvel special, Avengers: Mission Demolition, now streaming on Disney+, a brand-new official LEGO Deadpool minifigure makes an appearance. This is big news for fans of both Marvel and LEGO, though it comes with a bit of a twist. Be sure to stick around until the end of the special, as there’s an unexpected surprise during the credits.
A new design for the Deadpool minifigure
During the credits of the special, an animated battle breaks out between She-Hulk and Deadpool. What makes this scene even more exciting is the debut of a new Deadpool minifigure, featuring a mix of fresh design elements. The legs and torso are brand-new, while the head is reused from the rare 2018 San Diego Comic-Con Sheriff Deadpool minifigure. This blend of old and new gives the minifigure a unique look that collectors will definitely want to take note of.
Will there be a physical LEGO Deadpool set?
Even though the appearance of this digital Deadpool minifigure is exciting, it doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing a physical LEGO set featuring Deadpool on store shelves anytime soon. As of now, there’s been no official announcement of a set including this figure. His appearance remains limited to the Avengers: Mission Demolition special. This is especially surprising given Deadpool’s absence from other recent LEGO sets, like the popular LEGO Fortnite and the 76294 X-Mansion set.
Another notable character in this special is Gambit, who shows up in the same minifigure design as in the X-Mansion set. Looking to the future, there are already rumors of new LEGO Marvel sets for 2025, but for now, Deadpool doesn’t seem to be part of those plans. Still, the fact that LEGO is acknowledging Deadpool again might offer some hope for future releases.

Deadpool’s appearance in LEGO form, even if it’s only digital for now, shows that the door is slightly open for his return in physical sets. With the growing popularity of both Marvel and LEGO, it’s not impossible that we could see an official Deadpool set in the future.
