More LEGO Fast & Furious news! I’m personally thrilled about the possibility of seeing another Fast & Furious set, and Letty Ortiz’s inclusion feels long overdue. All signs point to Letty and her Nissan 240SX from the original film making their LEGO debut.
What we know so far
The kit is intended to be a Walmart and LEGO exclusive, building on the cooperation that has previously resulted in some amazing Speed Champions offerings. This would be the second Fast & Furious vehicle in the Speed Champions series, following last year's iconic Toyota Supra MK4 driven by Brian O'Conner.
If the rumors are accurate, we'll get our first LEGO minifigure of Letty Ortiz. For fans of Michelle Rodriguez, this would be her second LEGO appearance; her first was as Trudy Chacón in LEGO Avatar. This is a significant milestone because Letty has been a fan favorite from the start of the Fast & Furious franchise.
Speculation on the car
While there is no official confirmation of which car will be featured, Letty's Nissan 240SX appears to be the most likely choice. This sleek, street-racing classic had a memorable part in the first film, making it an ideal addition to the Speed Champions series. With LEGO's devotion to detail, we can expect a build that represents the car's unique appearance and racing history.
Why this is big news
This set would not only increase LEGO's portrayal of the Fast & Furious franchise, but it would also bring additional variety to the Speed Champions theme. I think including Letty is a fantastic move, she's a powerful character who deserves to be honored, and I'm glad to see LEGO moving in this direction.
Fast & Furious cars have proven to be a hit among LEGO enthusiasts and car lovers alike. Personally, I’d love to see LEGO explore even more iconic movie cars. A full-sized KITT from Knight Rider or the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard would be incredible additions, but for now, Letty’s ride has me more than excited.
The wait begins
While we wait for official photographs and details, interest is growing. Will LEGO outperform themselves with this set, or will it receive mixed reviews like the Supra MK4? In any case, we'll keep an eye out for any changes.
